The technique used

In our workshop established in the town of Toulon sur Arroux, we create some ornaments and “poetic objects” that Jean Cocteau bade us to realise.

We work bronze using an old manufacturing process which comes from high antiquity and is called lost wax casting. Using sketches and maquettes, we create limited models, then the jewel is decorated with engravings, enamelling, set stones and glass-past.

At last, before being patinated, ornaments are polished or more often gold- plated.
